What problem?

Today’s blog is about ignoring problems.

I usually am pretty good at sorting problems quickly, but recently I let one hang over me.

For the past six months, I have had a little problem, a little problem that has caused me some stress and frustration.

What that little problem was is not relevant. All I will say is that it had something to do with the lovely people at HMRC.

I had made a couple of half-hearted attempts to sort it myself, but I didn’t know what I was doing, so the problem remained.

So I tried to ignore it and buried my head in the sand, hoping it would go away. It did not.

This little problem felt huge yesterday, and I knew I needed to get it sorted.

So this morning, I made a couple of calls and had a meeting with someone who was an expert in the field. My problem was resolved in 20mins.

So if you tend to ignore problems, let me lay a few thoughts on you.

Problems don’t just disappear, and it’s folly to think they do. And ignoring them is never a good strategy, as little problems tend to become big problems.

There is a solution to every problem if you look for it.

And getting expert help when the problem is beyond your capabilities is the easiest, quickest, and cheapest way to deal with them.

Take Care
